Zone 19 represents what takes place off the pitch, in reference to the “18 zones of the football pitch”, we are the most important zone, the dugout, the training ground, the office, those hours spent grafting away designing the perfect plan to bring your players and team to life, the nineteenth zone that isn’t represented or recognised ON the pitch. Our logo represents the dugout, the home of all football coaches, where we all want to be on a Saturday or Sunday.
The Zone 19 team consists of two coaches, with a combined 19 years of experience in coaching football to a wide range of ages, from 1 up to 31, and abilities from beginner grassroots to elite level, and everything in between, the Zone 19 team want to help you develop your players and your coaching.
To take care of what happens on the pitch, you need to take care of what happens off it.
The team have tirelessly put together, and will continue to develop, some high quality coaching plans for you to put into practice with your team/s and players. We appreciate that no two training sessions are the same and that certain elements of practice are unpredictable, our plans try to provide solutions for any problems you may encounter – what to do if more or even less players than you expected turn up? What to do when the goalkeeper can’t make training? The plans give detailed descriptions, progressions, challenges, four-corner outcomes and learning objectives for each training session to make sure your coaching session and programme is high quality.
The Zone 19 team have experience of coaching within two Premier League clubs’ community set-ups, within a Category 1 Academy environment, with a first team in the upper echelons of the women’s game, within non-league men’s football, with children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, experience working in four different countries (both English and non-English speaking), and with numerous local grassroots football teams, from mini-kickers, through to first team, and every age group in between.
